PSLE Science Group Tuition & PSLE Maths Group Tuition 2015 Update (West)

This post is an update for my PSLE Maths and PSLE Science Tuition.

After the recent SA1 examination, I received many emails from worried parents enquiring about my Group and Individual PSLE Tuition.

Group Tuition

I no longer go to the student's residence for private tuition. All tuition would be conducted at my rented classroom in Jurong West (near Lakeside mrt).

 All my individual P6 tuition slots are taken.

There are still vacancies for PSLE Group Tuition. The maximum class size is 6.

I plan to start my PSLE Group Maths Tuition for students scoring between 60 - 75 marks. The P6 Maths Tuition would complement what the student is learning in school. Every week, each student would write down 5 questions which they cannot solve from their school work and ask me in class. I would go through as many questions with the class as possible. Through years of teaching and tutoring, I have come up with my very own methods of solving some of the more challenging Primary 6 Maths questions. The methods are simple and easy to understand. Most of the methods involve simple algebra (I really mean simple, easier than units and parts), simple model drawing (no complicated model drawing) and simple tabulation (draw a table and fill in the blanks). Even weak students who fail their exams repeatedly can understand my methods.

The fees is $250 for 4 lessons of 2 hours each.  

In addition, I am conducting a PSLE Intensive Maths Class 3 X per week for a session of 2 hours on the 2nd and 3rd week of June. The dates and timings are as follows:

PSLE Group Tuition/PSLE Individual Tuition 2015 - PSLE Maths Tuition & PSLE Science Tuition

New Classes for PSLE Group Tuition/P6 Group Tuition for Maths and Science 2015 starting in November. The location is at Blk 517 Jurong West Street 52, a 5 minutes walk from Lakeside mrt. There will be a maximum of 6 students per class. The fees is $250 per 4 lessons, inclusive of GST. The duration per lesson is 2 hours. There is no administrative cost or deposit. 

Criteria of student required:

• Achieve 60 marks and above during the P5 SA2 Examination. (if your child is too weak, group tuition is not effective. You may wish to try out individual tuition instead)
• Student is not mischievous and eager to learn.

All notes will be written by the tutor personally while the worksheets and questions will be extracted from assessment books and past year exam papers.


Limited slot for Individual PSLE Maths Tuition and PSLE Science Tuition available only during November and December. The rate is $120 per lesson for a 2 hour session. Tuition will also be held at Blk 517 Jurong West Street 52. I am sorry that I am no longer going to the student's house for private tuition. Each lesson will be specially customized according to the student's area of weakness. Student's work will be marked comprehensively and the mistakes will be gone through thoroughly by the tutor, which is not possible for Group PSLE tuition.

PSLE Tuition 2014 - Last Minute Individual Coaching for PSLE Maths Tuition & PSLE Science Tuition available (West)

I am a very experienced PSLE Tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience in tuition centres, schools and providing private tuition. I specializes in PSLE Maths and PSLE Science coaching.

I have rented a classroom which is 5 - 10 minutes walk away from Lakeside mrt. Renovation has just finished and I am offering last minute 1-to-1 PSLE tuition to students who need some customized guidance and help before the actual PSLE which takes place in about a month's time. I can go through the specific areas and topics that your child requires help in, such as certain Maths and Science topics, Paper 2 of the Maths paper and the Section(B) of the Science paper.

I know how hard it is to find a good PSLE Tutor at this point in time as most of the good tutors would have their tuition slots all taken up. In previous years, all my tuition slots would be full by early July. This year, I was away from teaching for half a year before deciding to come back as I find that my passion still lies in teaching. Currently, I have just started tutoring again and have some tuition slots available. However, I am no longer going to the student's house for tuition. If you are interested, your child needs to come to my tuition centre for lesson.

My rate is $60 per hour for a 2 hour session with a minimum of 4 lessons. The fees is payable at the start of the month. Payment is only by cash or by bank transfer. Group PSLE Tuition is also available and the fees is dependent on the number of students.

 

This is the last time I am providing individual tuition as I would be moving on to small group PSLE tuition next year.

•  All primary tuition slots for the next 2 weeks of May are taken.

• Taking in new students for primary tuition only after SA1 examination.

Almost all my existing students' parents requested for additional lessons due to the upcoming SA1 examination. As such, all my primary tuition slots for the next two weeks are fully occupied and I am not taking in anymore students. If you are interested, please get back to me after the SA1 examination. As of now, most of my primary tuition slots are taken. I do not have anymore tuition slots left on Saturday and Sunday. On weekdays, I only have 1-2 tuition slots left. Currently, I have enough PSLE students and am not taking in anymore students at the P6 level. For my remaining weekday slots, I am looking for primary students from P3, P4 or P5.

 What to expect from the tutor:

• Full Explanation of Primary Maths & Science Concepts during Lesson. 
• Tutor will talk for 80% to 90% of the lesson. (Not just sit and watch the student do the work).
• Patient and Step-By-Step Teaching Methodology which is suitable for Weak, Average or High-Ability students.
• Breakdown of Maths Questions into parts for Weaker Students to Understand Better.
• Different Methods of Solving Challenging Maths Questions will be Taught. Student will decide which method he or she prefers.
• Science Lesson will be focused on Drilling of Science Keywords
• Science MCQs: Students will be taught to identify the correct Science Keywords in the Question.
• Science Section B: Students will be taught how to use the Science Keywords to answer the Questions correctly.
